„Over the past year, an increasing amount of customers have asked us whether they should use HTML5 or Qt using the QML declarative UI language to develop software for embedded devices.“ This quote by Stefan Larndorfer (CEO sequality software engineering) in early 2017 was the starting point for the sequality team to further investigate the topic „HTML5 vs Qt“. Half a year later, the outcome is a screen-to-screen comparison running live software demos which triggered extensive discussions with CTOs on fairs such as the Embedded World in Nuremberg or the HMI Entwicklerforum in Munich. We summed up our findings in a detailed whitepaper, including an executive summary which points out the most important facts.
